Eco-Christmas: The Tree

Decorating is one of the most fun parts of getting ready for the holidays in my opinion.  The way things look different at this time if year is part of the magic of Christmas.  Of course, the focus in Christmas decorating is often the tree.

Real or fake is the age old question.  Here are some comparisons from the National Christmas Tree Association.

I've moved to a new website! Head on over to Heartful Habits for the full post. Thanks!

  1. Mary's Boy Child--Boney M (classic song!! you're too young, so you better look it up!)

This Baby--Steven Curtis Chapman (1995 Christmas album)

Christmas with a Capital C--Go Fish Guys (you'll love it!!)

I also love I Celebrate the Day by Reliant K! And have you heard their version of the 12 days of Christmas? Worth a look!

We always have real, and I love you idea! Sadly this year we we're sure where to go to get one (we chop our own, not buy) so we are using my "super clearance" fake one I got last year. It does look lovely though :)

  2. Thanks for this post. This is our first Christmas as a married couple, we purchased a real tree from a local Church selling them as a fundraiser for their youth group. We were debating getting a fake tree, but now I really feel that we made the right choice, and maybe next year we will find a plantable tree! How cool.
Oh, and I love your Christmas play list, id actually never heard any of those songs!
Breath of Heaven-Amy Grant (i love the lyrics and the passion she puts into the song)
    Have a very Merry Christmas!
